Self-Doubt

Self-Doubt

Exodus 4:10 MSG
10 Moses raised another objection to God: “Master, please, I don’t talk well. I’ve never been good with words, neither before nor after you spoke to me. I stutter and stammer.”

Moses, despite being chosen by God for a great purpose, struggled with self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy. He couldn't see past his own limitations, forgetting that God equips those He calls. In moments of self-doubt, it's crucial to remember that our abilities are not what define us; rather, it's God's power working through us that enables us to accomplish great things.

Just as Moses eventually embraced his calling, despite his initial doubts, we too can find courage in trusting God's plan for our lives. Let us not allow fear or insecurity to hinder us from stepping into the fullness of what God has in store. Instead, may we rely on His strength and guidance, knowing that He is always with us, empowering us to fulfill our purpose.

Moreover, Moses' journey reminds us that God often chooses the unlikely and the unqualified to accomplish His purposes. Despite Moses' protests and feelings of inadequacy, God remained steadfast in His call, equipping Moses with everything he needed to lead the Israelites out of slavery. This serves as a powerful reminder that our worth and capabilities are not defined by our own perceptions, but by God's unwavering faithfulness and provision.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Thank you for your faithfulness and for calling us according to your purpose. When we face moments of self-doubt, help us to trust in your provision and to lean on your strength. May we find courage in knowing that you are always with us, guiding us every step of the way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
