Humility and Obedinece

Philippians 2:8 NKJV
”And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.“

As I ponder the significance of humility, I'm struck by Jesus' obedience even unto death. His example challenges me to submit to God's will and surrender my own desires, recognizing His sovereignty over my life. The sacrifice of Jesus, who humbled Himself unto death, sets the ultimate example of humility and obedience.

Reflecting on C.S. Lewis's definition of humility, “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less”, I realize the importance of esteeming God above myself. Pride obstructs my ability to submit to God, as it elevates my opinions over His divine authority. I urge you to follow Christ's example of humility, surrendering to God's plans and embracing His word.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of humility demonstrated by Your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant me the grace to follow His lead, humbling myself before You and embracing Your will for my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
