Read Luke 15:8-18

Luke 15:8-10 (NIV)
“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

In Luke's Gospel, Jesus shares the parable of the lost coin, emphasizing the joy that comes from finding what was once lost. This story illustrates the transformative power of God's grace, which seeks out the lost and brings them back into the fold.

Just as the woman diligently searches for her lost coin, God pursues us with relentless love and compassion. No matter how far we may have strayed or how lost we may feel, God is always ready to welcome us back with open arms.

The rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents highlights the immense value God places on each individual soul. Every person is precious in his sight, and he longs for reconciliation with all who have wandered away.

As recipients of God's grace, we are called to share this message of hope and redemption with others. Let us be instruments of God's love, shining his light into the darkness and inviting others to experience the joy of being found.

Prayer:
Gracious God, thank you for your unending love and grace that seeks out the lost and brings them back into your loving embrace. Help us to be diligent in sharing your message of hope and redemption with those who feel lost or abandoned. May we be beacons of light, guiding others to experience the transformative power of your grace. Amen.
