BE THE CHURCH

James 1:22 (NIV)
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

As we celebrate the second anniversary of our church, we have much to be thankful for and reflect upon. The call to be the church goes beyond attending services and participating in programs; it’s about embodying the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives. James 1:22 challenges us to not merely listen to the Word but to act on it. Over the past two years, our church has demonstrated what it means to truly be the church. From baptizing over 100 individuals to investing more than $50,000 in local and global missions, we have witnessed the transformative power of living out our faith.

Our journey has been marked by remarkable milestones. We’ve seen 25 students respond to God’s call into ministry, a testament to the impact of discipleship and the nurturing environment of our small groups. These young leaders are stepping up to make a difference, inspired by the example set by our church community. Additionally, we have experienced incredible life change through our various ministries and outreach efforts. Our small groups have become hubs of growth and connection, where disciples are being made and lives are being transformed. These are not just statistics; they represent real people whose lives have been touched by the love and grace of God.

Being the church involves more than just celebrating these achievements; it requires us to continue living out our faith with passion and purpose. It’s about taking the gospel outside the walls of our building and into the lives of others. The early church was characterized by radical love and generosity, and we are called to continue that legacy today. Our journey over the past two years reflects our commitment to being the hands and feet of Christ in our community and beyond. As we celebrate what God has done, let’s also look forward to the opportunities to make an even greater impact in the years to come.

Prayer:
Lord, as we celebrate the second birthday of our church, we are filled with gratitude for all You have accomplished through us. Thank You for the over 100 baptisms, the $50,000 invested in missions, the 25 students answering Your call into ministry, and the lives being changed through our small groups. Continue to guide us as we seek to be Your church in every aspect of our lives. Empower us to live out Your Word with boldness and compassion, and help us to be a beacon of Your light and love in our community and beyond. Amen.
