God is Our Supply

2 Corinthians 9:10 (NIV)
“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”

Everything we have comes from God. He is the ultimate provider, giving us not only what we need to survive but also what we need to thrive in His purpose. Paul reminds us that God supplies both the seed to sow and the bread to sustain us. This truth encourages us to see our resources—not as something we’ve earned, but as gifts entrusted to us by a generous and faithful God.

When we recognize God as our supply, it shifts our perspective from scarcity to abundance. Instead of clinging tightly to what we have, we can give freely, knowing that God’s provision is limitless. This attitude of trust breaks the chains of greed and fear, allowing us to live open-handedly. Stewardship becomes less about holding on and more about faithfully using what God has given us for His glory.

God’s provision extends beyond material wealth. He supplies peace in chaos, joy in trials, and strength in weakness. When we trust Him as our source, we are freed from the pressures of self-reliance and can rest in His sufficiency. This dependence on Him not only blesses us but also positions us to be a blessing to others, demonstrating His goodness to the world.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being our ultimate source and supply. Teach us to trust You with everything we have, knowing that You are faithful to provide for all our needs. Help us to live generously and steward Your blessings wisely so that we can glorify You and bless others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
