Your Legacy in Christ

Revelation 3:5 (NLT)
"All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine."

When we accept Christ, our names are written in the Book of Life, a record of those adopted into God’s family. This reality calls us to focus on the legacy we leave behind. While earthly recognition fades, the impact of a life lived in Christ endures eternally. Jesus’ genealogy reminds us that faithfulness, not fame, defines true legacy.

The individuals in Jesus' family tree left legacies of faith despite their flaws. Rahab’s courageous trust in God saved her family. Ruth’s devotion led to her becoming part of the Messiah’s lineage. These lives remind us that it’s not our perfection but our surrender that leaves a lasting impact. Your life, surrendered to God, has the power to influence generations for His glory.

This truth challenges us to live intentionally, keeping eternity in view. The legacy we leave isn’t measured in worldly accolades but in lives touched by the Gospel. By placing our faith in Christ and walking in obedience, we contribute to a story far greater than our own. As we embrace this calling, we can rest assured that our names are not only remembered on earth but written in heaven.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to live with eternity in view, leaving a legacy of faith for others to follow. Thank You for writing my name in the Book of Life and giving my life eternal significance. May I walk in obedience, trusting You to use my life for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
