Divine Invitations
Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Interruptions are rarely convenient. They disrupt our carefully made plans and force us to adjust, often leaving us frustrated or confused. But as Joseph discovered, what feels like an interruption may actually be an invitation from God. When Joseph learned of Mary’s pregnancy, it seemed like the end of his dreams. Yet, God was inviting him to participate in the greatest story ever told—the arrival of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
God’s invitations often appear as inconvenient or even impossible tasks. Like Joseph, we may face situations where obedience feels costly. Joseph could have walked away, but he chose to trust God’s word and embrace the call to raise Jesus. His decision led to a journey of faith that included both trials and extraordinary blessings. God’s plans require faith, but they also come with His presence and provision, enabling us to accomplish what seems impossible.
When God interrupts your plans, it’s because He has something greater in mind. His perspective exceeds ours, and His purposes are always for our ultimate good and His glory. If we view interruptions through the lens of faith, we’ll see them as opportunities to trust God more deeply and step into His divine purposes. Let Joseph’s story remind us: God’s interruptions are always divine invitations into something extraordinary.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for turning interruptions into divine invitations. Help me to see beyond my frustrations and recognize Your greater purpose in every situation. Strengthen my faith to trust Your plans, even when they feel inconvenient or unexpected. I surrender my life to You, knowing that Your ways are higher and better than mine. Amen.
