God's Purpose in the Process
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Christmas Day is the celebration of the fulfillment of God’s greatest promise. The Word became flesh—Jesus, our Savior, entered the world as a helpless baby, yet His birth marked the beginning of redemption for all mankind. This miraculous moment didn’t happen in isolation but was the culmination of a long, challenging process. From prophecies foretold centuries earlier to Mary’s nine months of carrying the promise, God worked through every step to bring His purpose into the world.
God’s process often requires trust beyond what we can see or understand. Mary endured ridicule, physical discomfort, and uncertainty, yet she held onto her faith that God was working through her. Similarly, God is working through your life’s challenges to bring about His purpose. The process may be difficult, but it is necessary for what He is forming within you. His work is often unseen, but it is always significant.
This Christmas Day, remember that God’s timing and methods are perfect. Just as Jesus’ birth fulfilled centuries of waiting, God will fulfill His promises in your life. Trust His process, even when it feels slow or hard, and celebrate the miracle of Christ’s arrival as a reminder that God always keeps His word.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to dwell among us and bring salvation to the world. On this Christmas Day, help me to trust in Your process and find peace in knowing You are always working for my good. May the joy of Christ’s birth fill my heart and renew my faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
