Faithful in the Hard Days

Psalm 37:18
The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.

Hard days are inevitable, even for those walking closely with God. Mary experienced this reality as she traveled to Bethlehem, heavily pregnant and weary, facing the unknown. Yet, through every difficult step, God was with her, working behind the scenes to fulfill His promise. In the same way, our hardest days are not outside of God’s care. He sees, He knows, and He walks with us.

Faithfulness during hard days builds spiritual resilience. It’s easy to praise God when everything is going well, but the true test of faith is how we respond when life feels overwhelming. Those moments of struggle, when we feel unseen or forgotten, are precisely when God is doing His greatest work. Like Mary, who carried the Savior through days of discomfort, we are called to carry God’s promises with trust and perseverance, even when it’s hard.

God promises that He knows the days of the upright, and He will provide the strength we need to endure them. Each hard day is part of a bigger picture of His faithfulness and your eternal inheritance. Lean into His strength, hold fast to His promises, and trust that He is working all things for your good.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for walking with me through the hard days. Help me to remain faithful, trusting that You see my struggles and are working for my good. Strengthen me to endure with faith and perseverance, knowing that my inheritance in You is secure. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
