The Perfect Blueprint
John 13:15
"For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you."
In a world full of influences pulling us in countless directions, the greatest example we could follow is Jesus Christ. He didn’t simply teach us how to live — He showed us. From His acts of love and sacrifice to His humble service, every part of His life was a blueprint for how we are to live. Jesus set a pattern, not just through His words but through His actions, demonstrating grace, truth, and compassion in ways that changed the world forever.
When Jesus washed His disciples' feet, He modeled humility, a trait that the world often overlooks. The God of the universe, washing the feet of His followers, was a powerful example that leadership is found in service, and greatness is born from humility. In every interaction, He elevated others, showing us that the call to greatness in God's kingdom is not about being served, but serving others.
As believers, we are called to be imitators of Christ. This means embodying His love, His humility, His dedication to truth, and His commitment to bringing people to the Father. His example is clear, and it leaves no room for confusion. We don’t need to look anywhere else for direction on how to live a life that pleases God — we have Jesus. Every challenge we face, every decision we make, can be guided by His example.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for sending Jesus as the perfect example for us to follow. Help us to live as He lived — with love, humility, and sacrifice. Guide us daily as we seek to imitate Him in everything we do. May our lives reflect Your truth and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
