Die as he Died

Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me."

When Jesus gave up His life for us, He demonstrated the ultimate act of love and sacrifice. On the cross, He not only bore the weight of our sins but also opened the way for us to live in eternal relationship with God. His death was not just an event in history; it is the model for how we are to live every day. Just as He laid down His life for us, we are called to lay down ours for Him.

This doesn’t necessarily mean we are called to die physically, but it does mean we are to surrender our desires, our comforts, and our will to Him. Living for Christ requires dying to our own ambitions and allowing Him to work through us. It’s a daily choice to say, "Not my will, but Yours be done." This is a life of surrender, where every decision, every action, and every thought is measured by the example of Christ.

Surrendering to God isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it. The life that Christ offers is one of abundant peace, joy, and purpose, and it comes when we let go of our own plans and trust in His. As we deny ourselves, we find true freedom — freedom that doesn’t come from achieving personal success or fulfilling personal desires, but from living fully in His will.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for the ultimate sacrifice You made for me on the cross. Help me to live a life of surrender, just as You gave Yourself fully for me. I choose to lay down my will and live for You each day. May Your life in me be my greatest strength and purpose. In Your name, Amen.
