Don't Grow Weary

Galatians 6:9
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

Life often feels like a constant cycle of effort with little visible return. It’s easy to become discouraged, especially when we don’t see immediate results from our labor. In these times, the Apostle Paul’s words in Galatians 6:9 remind us not to grow weary in doing good. The Christian life is a life of service, and doing good is at the heart of God’s calling for us. But when we are pouring out, sometimes we wonder if it’s worth it. Does anyone see the good we're doing? Is it really making a difference?

The temptation to grow weary is real, and it’s something all believers face at some point. Whether it's in ministry, in our relationships, or in our personal lives, the pressure to give up can be overwhelming. However, Paul encourages us to press on. He reminds us that the harvest doesn’t come instantly — it comes in due season. Just as a farmer doesn’t see the fruit of his labor immediately after planting a seed, we too will experience the rewards of our faithful service in God’s timing.

Even when the results aren’t visible, we can trust that God is at work in and through us. Our good deeds, when done in faith, are never wasted. They are part of God’s grand plan, and He is faithful to bring about the harvest. So, no matter how discouraged you may feel, keep doing good. Keep serving, keep loving, and keep giving. God sees your efforts, and in due season, He will reward your faithfulness.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the reminder to not grow weary in doing good. Help me to stay strong and faithful, even when I don’t see the results of my efforts right away. Give me the endurance to keep pressing forward, trusting in Your timing. May my heart always be focused on doing good for Your glory, knowing that You will bring forth the harvest in due season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
