Doors of Opportunity

Revelation 3:7 (NIV)
"These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open."

There are moments in life when God opens doors that we never expected and closes others that we thought were the right path. In Revelation 3:7, we are reminded that God holds the key to every door in our lives. What He opens, no one can close, and what He closes, no one can open. This is a powerful truth to grasp when we face decisions, opportunities, or setbacks. God is sovereign over our circumstances, and His plans are far better than our own.

As we walk through life, we encounter various doors of opportunity. Some are easy to walk through, and others are challenging or even frustrating. It's natural to want to walk through the doors that seem to promise success, prosperity, or comfort. However, we must recognize that not all opportunities are created equal. God knows what is best for us, and He opens doors that align with His purpose for our lives, even if those doors don’t always look like what we imagined.

A door may seem to be closed for a time, but we must trust that God is in control. When He opens a door, no matter the opposition or difficulty that may come with it, He has already prepared a way for us to step into it. Just like when Paul and his companions were divinely redirected in Acts 16, sometimes the doors we think we should walk through are not the ones God has planned. Trusting God’s timing in these moments is crucial, for He opens doors of opportunity that are beyond our understanding.

If you feel like you are facing a closed door today, or if an opportunity that seemed perfect is slipping away, remember that God has the final say. He knows the doors that are meant for you, and He will open them when the time is right. Trust in His wisdom and timing, and walk confidently in the doors He opens, knowing that they lead to greater purposes and blessings than we can see right now.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for being the one who holds the key to every door in my life. Help me to trust in Your timing and wisdom when facing opportunities and challenges. Give me the courage to walk through the doors You open and the peace to accept the ones You close. I trust that Your plans are greater than mine. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
