Every Season Has A Time
Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
It’s easy to become discouraged when things don’t happen as quickly as we expect. Whether it’s waiting for a breakthrough in our career, in relationships, or even in our walk with God, the waiting season can feel like it’s dragging on. But we must remember that God’s timing is perfect, and there is a time for everything. Galatians 6:9 encourages us not to grow weary in doing good because, at the right time, we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up.
I’m reminded of a story about a famous painting called "Checkmate," where Satan is depicted playing chess with a king. In the painting, Satan believes he has won. The king is trapped in a corner, and it seems that the game is over—he has no moves left, and it looks like checkmate. But a world-class chess master came across the painting one day, and as he studied it, something caught his attention. He stared at the board, and after a while, he realized something incredible: the king had one more move.
What appeared to be the end of the game was actually just the beginning of a new strategy. The king had one more move, and with that move, the game would be won. This powerful story serves as a reminder that no matter how dire our circumstances may seem, God still has a plan for us. Even when it feels like we’ve reached the end, God still has a way to make a move that will change everything.
We can apply this story to our own lives. There are times when we feel like we’ve been cornered, when all the doors seem shut, and we wonder if God’s promises will ever come to pass. But just like that king in the painting, God still has one more move. Your season of waiting may feel like the end, but God is never out of moves. He’s working behind the scenes, preparing something greater than we can see. In His perfect timing, He will make His move, and it will be for our good.
So, don’t lose heart. Trust that God is in control, and that His timing is perfect. Every season, no matter how challenging, has an appointed time. Your harvest is coming, and God's perfect plan is unfolding.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding me that no season is wasted and that You always have a plan. When I feel cornered or discouraged, help me to trust that You still have one more move. Teach me to wait patiently and trust Your timing, knowing that You are working all things together for my good. I believe that Your plan will prevail, no matter the challenges I face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
