Heart For The Lost

Mark 2:5 (NIV)
“When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’”

The house was packed. The doorway blocked. The crowd too thick to press through. But four friends weren’t deterred. They were on a mission—not for themselves, but for the one who couldn’t get to Jesus on his own. So, they climbed the roof, tore it open, and lowered their friend down to the feet of the Savior. It was disruptive. It was bold. It was inconvenient. But it was faith.

Jesus didn’t respond to the man’s faith—He responded to their faith. The faith of the friends. That tells us something powerful: your faith can make a way for someone else. Your prayers, your persistence, your refusal to give up can become the bridge someone walks across into healing and salvation. The paralyzed man couldn’t move, but he had friends who could carry him. And that made all the difference.

What if we lived with that kind of faith? The kind that breaks through barriers and tears roofs off just to get someone to Jesus. The kind that’s willing to look ridiculous, be rejected, or carry someone else’s weight for a while. The kind of faith that says, “Whatever it takes—I’ll carry you until you can walk on your own.”

You may know someone right now who is paralyzed spiritually—stuck in pain, addiction, fear, or sin. Don’t give up on them. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep carrying them to Jesus. Your faith might be the very thing that unlocks their miracle.

Prayer:
Lord, give me the faith of those four friends. Help me see the people around me who need to be carried. Make me bold enough to break barriers and persistent enough to never stop praying. Let my life reflect a faith that lifts others and brings them to Your feet. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
