Resurrection and Life

 John 11:25-26 (NIV)
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Easter is not just a celebration of what Jesus did over 2,000 years ago—it’s an invitation to experience new life today. Jesus’ resurrection didn’t just change history, it changes our future. As believers, we know that the resurrection is the foundation of our hope: “Because I live, you also will live” (John 14:19). His victory over death gives us the power to live differently, to live with the hope of eternity.

But here’s the question: Who are you bringing with you to church tomorrow? Jesus didn’t just die for us to be passive recipients of grace; He died to send us out as His witnesses. The resurrection is the ultimate invitation, and it’s not just for us to celebrate by ourselves—it’s for us to invite others into. We are called to bring people to Jesus, to lead them into the hope of the resurrection.

Every Easter, we gather to celebrate the greatest victory of all time. But what makes this day even more powerful is the chance to bring someone with us, someone who has yet to experience the new life that Jesus offers. Maybe it’s a friend, a neighbor, or a coworker—someone who needs to hear the good news of the resurrection. Who can you bring to church tomorrow to hear the gospel and experience the life-changing power of Jesus?

The resurrection is not just about celebrating; it’s about sharing. It’s about reaching out and saying, “Come and see what Jesus has done.” This Easter, let’s not just celebrate for ourselves—let’s bring someone along with us. Jesus’ resurrection is too powerful, too transformative, to keep to ourselves. Let’s make it a point to bring others into the hope and new life He offers.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the incredible gift of new life through Your resurrection. This Easter, give me the courage and boldness to bring someone with me to church—to invite them to experience the hope and joy that comes from knowing You. Help me to be a bringer, not just a receiver, of Your love. May my actions reflect the life-changing power of the resurrection. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
