You Reap What You Sow
Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
We often treat the fruit in our lives like it’s random. As if peace, joy, or burnout just show up without cause. But Scripture is clear. Fruit is the result of seed, and you always reap what you sow. You can’t expect to harvest peace if you’ve been planting poison. If you’ve been sowing comparison, distraction, self-indulgence, or negativity, it should not surprise you when anxiety and restlessness begin to grow. The soil of your heart grows what you plant in it.
Many of us are sowing stress and hoping for peace. We’re sowing compromise and looking for clarity. We’re feeding our spirit a steady stream of media, noise, and shallow faith, then wondering why we feel spiritually dry. A bitter harvest is never an accident. It is the result of intentional or neglected sowing, often done in secret, over time. We may hide our habits from people, but our harvest will always tell the truth.
So what are you sowing today? Sowing is not just about effort. It’s about investment. If you don’t like the fruit you’re seeing, change the seed you’re sowing. Start planting Scripture. Build space for silence. Use your words to express gratitude. Fight temptation with truth. Shape your mind with humility. Your life is always producing something. The question is whether it’s the fruit you want to grow.
Prayer:
God, I want to be intentional with the seeds I’m planting in my life. Help me recognize the patterns that are stealing my peace and replace them with habits that lead to joy and strength. Let Your Spirit guide my choices so I sow what leads to life. I trust You with the harvest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
