Where the River Flows
Ezekiel 47:9
Wherever the river flows, everything will live.
The prophet Ezekiel had a vision of a river flowing from the temple of God. It started as a trickle and became a torrent. As it flowed, it brought life to everything in its path. Dead things came alive. Saltwater was made fresh. Trees sprang up and bore fruit in every season. The presence of God wasn’t staying contained inside the temple. It was rushing out into dry places, bringing restoration and revival wherever it went.
This isn’t just a vision of heaven. It’s a picture of what happens when the Spirit of God flows through His people. Wherever the Spirit flows, life follows. That means your life should be marked by life. Your words should build. Your presence should heal. Your prayers should shift atmospheres. You weren’t called to live bottled up and barely getting by. You were designed to carry the current of heaven with you into every room, every conversation, and every place of influence.
And here’s the key — you don’t have to create the river. You just have to stay in the flow. Stay filled with His presence. Stay planted in His Word. Stay close to the source. Because when you do, the Spirit of God will use your life to bring healing to others. What’s been dead in your family can come alive. What’s been stagnant in your calling can start to move. Don’t underestimate the power of the river inside you.
Prayer:
God, let Your river flow through me. Fill every dry place in my life and use me to bring life to others. I don’t want to hold back or live stuck. I want to live in the overflow of Your Spirit. Let everything You’ve placed in me bring life, healing, and fruitfulness to the world around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
