Lifeline
Ephesians 6:18
Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
At Restoration, prayer is not just something we do before meals or when we’re in crisis. It is our lifeline. Prayer is how we connect to God, hear His voice, and align our lives with His will. It’s not meant to be our last resort when everything else fails, but our first response in every situation. This is why we built prayer into our DNA — because without prayer, we drift into self-reliance and lose the very power that makes us different from the world.
Prayer is more than words spoken into the air. It is communion with God Himself. When we pray, we invite the Holy Spirit to lead us, guide us, and empower us. A prayerless church is a powerless church, but a praying church will always be a Spirit-filled church. This is why the apostles in Acts devoted themselves to prayer — because they knew mission without prayer is motion without power.
As a church, we choose to make prayer foundational because we don’t want to build something in our own strength. We want to be Spirit-led in everything we do, from our decisions to our daily lives. If prayer is our lifeline, then prayerlessness is like trying to live without breath.
Prayer:
Lord, help me never to treat prayer as optional or secondary. Remind me that prayer is my lifeline and the foundation of everything I do. Teach me to depend on You through prayer and to invite the Spirit into every part of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
