Hope for the Future
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
Addiction, sin, or failure can leave people convinced that their best days are behind them. But God’s Word declares something radically different—He has plans for us. Not plans of harm or ruin, but plans filled with hope and purpose. The future is not determined by our past; it’s secured by His promise.
The Men of Nehemiah stand as a testimony of this truth. Men who once thought their lives were over now sing with joy, testify with boldness, and live with vision for what lies ahead. That same God is at work in your story. He doesn’t just forgive your yesterday; He gives you a tomorrow worth living for.
Hope is powerful because it keeps us moving. It’s what lifts us when the present feels heavy. It’s what whispers, “God isn’t done with you yet.” You may not know every detail of what’s ahead, but you can trust the One who holds the future in His hands. His plans are better, His grace is greater, and His promise is sure.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for giving us hope and a future. Remind us that our story is not finished, and that You are writing chapters of redemption and purpose. Help us trust Your plans even when we can’t see the full picture, and teach us to walk forward with confidence in Your promise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
