Use Your Talent

1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Every one of us has been given a gift. Some can sing, some can teach, some can lead, some can encourage. Others have talents in administration, creativity, craftsmanship, or hospitality. Scripture tells us these gifts aren’t ours to hoard; they are ours to steward.

In the book of Exodus, God filled Bezalel and Oholiab with skill to build the tabernacle. Their talents weren’t random — they were anointed for God’s purpose. In the same way, the talent you carry isn’t an accident. It’s a grace given to you to serve others and build God’s house.

Too often, we disqualify ourselves because we don’t think our talent is good enough. But God isn’t looking for perfection — He’s looking for faithfulness. If you’ll bring your gift, God will use it. When you put your talent in His hands, the church assembles into something greater than any one person could create.

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the gifts You have given me. Help me not to bury them in fear or doubt, but to use them faithfully to serve Your people and glorify Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
