The Blessing

Acts 20:35 (NIV)I
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Serving and giving are often thought of as sacrifices. And they are — but they’re also blessings. Jesus Himself said it: it’s more blessed to give than to receive. When you step into serving and generosity, you discover a joy that nothing else can match.

The boy with the loaves and fishes didn’t just see the crowd blessed. He saw his small offering multiplied in the hands of Jesus. The early church didn’t just meet needs; they experienced daily salvation and favor. The blessing isn’t just for the ones being served — it’s for the one who steps into serving.

This is why we value giving and serving at Restoration. Not because it benefits the church, but because it benefits you. When you give and serve, your faith grows, your heart aligns with heaven, and your life is transformed. These aren’t duties — they’re invitations into Kingdom life.

Prayer
Thank You, Jesus, for the privilege of serving and giving. Change me as I live with open hands, and let my life be a blessing to others and an offering of worship to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
