Strengthen What Remains
Revelation 3:2
Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.
Jesus does not discard what is dying; He restores what is left. The church in Sardis still had a spark, even if it was small. His command to “strengthen what remains” reminds us that God can build revival out of remnants. The story of redemption has always been written with what others call leftovers. A mustard seed of faith is enough for Him to move mountains. A flicker of faith is enough for Him to start a fire.
Sometimes we look at our lives and see failure, but God sees unfinished work. What looks like an ending to us may simply be an opportunity for Him to begin again. The key is to strengthen what remains. Rebuild your prayer life. Rekindle your worship. Reignite your faith. Revival does not come from doing everything perfectly but from faithfully nourishing the few things that are still alive.
If you still feel conviction, hope, or a longing for more of God, that is proof that He is not finished with you. The presence of even a spark means the possibility of a flame. Do not walk away from what God is still willing to rebuild.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to strengthen what remains in me. Restore the areas of my life that are weak and unfinished. Remind me that what You begin, You are faithful to complete. Amen.
