The Who Opens Doors

Revelation 3:7
What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

When Jesus declares that He holds the key of David, He is claiming absolute authority. Every door that opens or closes in our lives rests under His control. This verse reminds us that God’s plan for our lives doesn’t hinge on human approval or circumstance. What He ordains cannot be undone by people, politics, or pressure.

Sometimes we get discouraged when doors close, but in God’s kingdom, every closed door is protection and every open door is purpose. If He shuts something off, it’s not rejection, it’s redirection. When He opens a door, it’s an invitation to trust His timing and step into His plan with bold faith.

The power of the open door isn’t found in our ability to push it open; it’s found in our willingness to walk through when He does. When God opens a door, no one can close it, and when He closes one, we can rest knowing that He’s leading us somewhere better.

Prayer:
God, help me trust the doors You open and the ones You close. Remind me that Your authority is final, and Your timing is perfect. Strengthen my faith to walk through the doors You’ve set before me. Amen.
