Carry what God Conceived
Matthew 1:20-21
“As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. The child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.’”
Joseph was ready to walk away until heaven stepped in. The angel did not offer Joseph a detailed explanation or a full blueprint. He simply said, do not be afraid to take this on. In other words, do not fear what the Holy Spirit has started. This child was not Joseph’s idea. It was God’s work. And if God conceived it, God would carry it.
There are things in your life God has begun that feel too big, too heavy, or too unfamiliar. The call, the dream, the assignment, the next step. You may feel unprepared or unqualified, the same way Joseph did. But the angel’s words still apply. Do not be afraid to carry what God planted in you. What comes from the Holy Spirit will be sustained by the Holy Spirit. God does not place a calling on your life and leave you alone to figure it out.
Joseph had a choice. He could trust what God was doing, or he could trust his own understanding. He chose faith. He chose obedience. And that decision positioned him in the center of God’s greatest work. You may not see the full picture of what God is doing in your life, but choosing faith will always position you where God wants you to stand.
Today, ask God to give you the courage to carry what He has started. Whatever He conceived in you, He intends to bring to completion. You are not carrying it alone. He is guiding you, strengthening you, and preparing you for what is ahead.
Prayer
Father, give me the courage to carry what Your Spirit has started in me. Remove fear from my heart and fill me with confidence that You are with me. Help me trust that You will provide everything I need to walk out what You have called me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
