God WIth Us

Luke 1:35
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”

Mary’s calling was impossible by human standards. She was not equipped, experienced, or prepared for what God was asking her to carry. And yet, God did not hesitate to invite her into His plan. The reason is simple. God never asks us to accomplish His purposes apart from His presence. Before Mary ever said yes, God had already determined how the impossible would be accomplished.

The Holy Spirit did not come as a response to Mary’s obedience. He came as the provision for it. God knew that without His Spirit, Mary could not carry what He was placing inside her. This is how God works. He never guides us into something He intends for us to figure out on our own. Where God guides, He supplies.

Many of us delay obedience because we feel unqualified, overwhelmed, or unsure. We wait until we feel strong enough, ready enough, or confident enough. But God’s pattern throughout Scripture is clear. He supplies His Spirit first, then calls us to walk by faith. The supply is not clarity, comfort, or certainty. The supply is Himself.

God With Us is not just a Christmas phrase. It is a promise. God goes before you. He overshadows what you cannot control. He supplies what you cannot produce. Your responsibility is not to understand how. It is to trust who.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You go before me. Help me trust that if You are guiding me, You will supply what I need to obey. I surrender my fear and my need for control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
