God is Our Source

Psalm 73:26
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

By the end of the first week, the fast has revealed something important. God has sustained you. Not food. Not comfort. Not routine. God. Fasting reminds us that while our bodies may feel weak, our spirits are being strengthened. God has always been the source. We have just been too busy to notice.

When we remove substitutes, we rediscover sufficiency. God is not an addition to our lives. He is the foundation. Everything else is secondary. This fast is not about enduring loss, but about rediscovering fullness.

God alone is enough.
