Grace Begins Quietly

Judges 16:22
“But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.”

This small verse carries enormous hope. While Samson sat in darkness, defeated and humiliated, something unseen was happening. His hair began to grow again. Restoration started quietly, long before victory returned.

God’s grace often works beneath the surface before we feel its effects. Growth begins internally before it becomes visible externally. Even when consequences remain, God can begin rebuilding what was lost. Failure does not cancel God’s ability to restore.

Samson’s strength did not return because of hair alone but because God was not finished with him. The same is true for us. When we turn back toward God, restoration begins immediately, even if circumstances take time to change.

If you feel far from God today, remember this: grace may already be growing again in your life, even if you cannot yet see it.

Prayer

God, thank You that You are not finished with me. Begin restoring what has been weakened in my life. Help me trust Your work even when I cannot yet see the results. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
