Trust
Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
When Ezekiel reached water deep enough to swim in, everything changed. Up to that point he could still stand on his own two feet. But once the water became deep, standing was no longer an option. He had to trust the river to carry him.
Faith often requires that same kind of trust. As long as we can stand on our own understanding, we still feel in control. But there are moments in our walk with God when He leads us into situations where our footing disappears. In those moments we must decide whether we will panic or trust Him.
Trusting God means believing that His plans are better than our own. It means surrendering our need to control every outcome and allowing Him to guide the current of our lives.
The deeper you go with God, the more you discover that He is faithful. What once felt frightening becomes the very place where His strength carries you.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to trust You completely. When I feel uncertain or afraid, remind me that You are guiding the current of my life. Help me rely on Your wisdom rather than my own understanding. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
