When God Shows Up
Joshua 5:1
“Their hearts melted in fear and they no longer had the courage to face the Israelites.”
When the surrounding nations heard what God had done at the Jordan River, fear spread through their ranks. They were not afraid of Israel’s strength. They were afraid because they realized that God was fighting for His people.
The same truth applies today. The enemy is not intimidated by human ability or talent. But when God begins to move among His people, everything changes. When God’s presence is at work, victory becomes possible even in the most impossible situations.
The memorial stones in Israel’s camp reminded them of God’s power, but they also sent a message to their enemies. The God who delivered them from the Jordan was the same God who would fight their battles in the future.
When God shows up, fear shifts from His people to their enemies.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for fighting the battles that I cannot fight on my own. Remind me that Your presence changes everything. Strengthen my faith as I trust You to lead me into every victory You have prepared. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
