Stay on Fire
John 4:34 (NLT)
“My nourishment comes from doing the will of God…”
We often think staying close to God is just about what we receive. More worship. More teaching. More quiet time. And those things matter. But Jesus shows us something deeper. There is a kind of fulfillment that only comes from doing what God has called you to do.
When you begin to live on mission, something changes. When you see someone take a step toward God, it does something in you. When you share your story and watch it connect with someone else, it fuels your faith in a different way.
If your walk with God feels stagnant, it may not be because you need more input. It might be because you need more output. Faith grows when it’s exercised. Passion increases when it’s lived out.
Jesus said this is what sustained Him. Not just being with people, but reaching people. There is a kind of life you only experience when you step into what God is doing through you.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to live on mission. Don’t let my faith become stagnant or routine. Show me how to be part of what You are doing in the lives of others, and let that bring fresh passion to my walk with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
