Stand Firm in What Remains

Psalm 62:6 (NIV)
“Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.”

After everything is shaken, something remains. That’s the promise we’ve been building toward all week. God is not fragile. His Word does not shift. His character does not change. When everything else feels uncertain, He is steady.

The psalmist doesn’t say life won’t shake. He says I will not be shaken. That’s a powerful distinction. The world around you may move, pressure may come, circumstances may change, but your position can remain firm when your trust is placed in God. Stability is not found in perfect conditions, it’s found in a secure foundation.

Many people spend their lives trying to create stability externally. Better circumstances, better outcomes, better control. But true stability is internal. It’s rooted in who you trust. When God is your rock, you don’t have to panic when things shift. You already know what you’re standing on.

As you move forward, the goal is not to avoid shaking, but to be anchored in something that cannot be moved. When your life is built on God, you don’t just survive uncertain seasons, you stand firm through them.

Takeaway: When God is your foundation, you don’t have to fear what shakes around you.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for being my rock and my foundation. When life feels uncertain, remind me that You are steady and unchanging. Help me stand firm in You no matter what comes my way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
