Unshakable – Week 10 – Kingdom Culture in our Homes
This week in our Unshakable series, we take an honest look at one of the most personal places the Kingdom of God is meant to rule: our homes. In 1 Thessalonians 2, Paul paints a picture of Kingdom culture through the language of family, revealing what it looks like when Jesus truly sits on the throne of a household. Together, we unpack what it means to build a home around the right King, why sacrificial love is the foundation of Kingdom family life, and how intentional discipleship is the responsibility of every parent. Through the story of Hannah surrendering Samuel to God, the bold declaration of Joshua over his household, and the generational promise found in Exodus, we discover that Kingdom culture does not begin at church, it begins at home. The goal is not a perfect family. The goal is a family learning, day by day, to live under the rule and reign of Jesus Christ. The decisions made inside our homes today could impact generations whose names we will never know.
