The Holy Spirit - Week 1
This week we kick off a brand new series exploring one of the most important relationships in the Christian life: the Holy Spirit. In John 14, Jesus introduces His disciples to the Helper He promised to send, and reveals that this gift is not a power to experience but a person to know. Together, we explore who the Holy Spirit is as the third person of the Trinity, how His presence shifted from being with God’s people in the Old Testament to dwelling inside every believer through the New Covenant, and what it truly means to depend on Him daily. Through the Greek meaning behind the word Helper, the promise of His guidance found in Isaiah, and a closer look at His role as Helper, Counselor, Teacher, and Comforter, we discover that the Christian life was never meant to be lived through willpower alone. The question is not whether the Holy Spirit is present in your life. The question is whether you have learned to depend on Him.
